Description
Vejbystrand is located on the north-west coast of Scania, a little way into Skälderviken. At the beginning of the 19th century, Vejbystrand was a small fishing village, but has today developed into an attractive seaside resort. It is still a small village but it offers a lot. The harbor and the beach are obvious and natural gathering places in the summer. Adjacent to the harbor are two summer restaurants, a playground, a nature-protected heath with roaming cattle and a wide sandy beach.
Service
Four spaces for mobile homes are available in the paved parking lot in the southern part of the harbor. The fee includes electricity, toilet and shower and the possibility to empty the latrine.
See & Do
A few hundred meters up from the harbor is a grocery store with a good selection, a hairdresser, a flower shop, a veterinary clinic, a library, a pizzeria and a bus stop, where buses regularly run into Ängelholm, which is a larger small town with many nice shops and restaurants. If you follow the Skåneleden (coastal trail stage 19), which goes right past the harbor, to the south, you will come to an open-air swimming pool and then an inn with a pub. If you walk inland, through Vejbystrand, you will find a charming farm shop with delicious delicacies.
